Job Description

An Interventional Radiology RN is a role that specializes in and cares for patients undergoing minimally invasive, image - guided treatments and procedures. They work alongside the providers from IR, Vascular Surgery, and Neurosurgery to manage pre, intra, and post procedure care. Exams such as vascular access device placement, diagnostic and interventional vascular procedures, diagnostic and interventional stroke care and CT and Ultrasound guided biopsies and drainages are performed.

Schedule : Part time, 8-hour shifts; 3 days one week and 2 the opposite week. Day shift, Monday through Friday, On-Call Rotation - during the week and weekend/holidays

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing, BSN preferred.

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans

• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. 

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS)

Additional Information

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Sedation experience & ACLS preferred

• Previous 1-2 years recent related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required.

• RN with IR, ICU or ER / Trauma or procedural experience
