Automation EngineerLocation: Austin, TX Duration: 12 MonthsThe QA Engineer Automated is an Information Technology (IT) position and will provide testing services for the mandated enhancements of the Childcare Licensing Automation Support System (CLASS) Foster Care Litigation and CLASS Stabilization project. This position will create test cases and scripts for functional and nonfunctional requirements, prepare test data, execute test scripts, analyze data, support user acceptance testing, and provide defect triaging. The project is expected to produce several CLASS deployments throughout fiscal year 22.The workers responsibilities and skills must include:Create test cases and scriptsMaintain and update UFT Test suites for regression testingPrepare test data to be loaded in the databaseExecute test script logging resultsDocument defects including steps to reproduceUtilize analysis and diagramming tools to represent business processesMust have historical and proven knowledge and practical application of testing best practicesOther duties as assignedWORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required)Minimum Graduation from a four year college or university with a Major in Information Technology, Engineering or related field.Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.Years - Required/Preferred - Experience8 - Required - Strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of users.8 - Required - Strong background in developing test suites in UFT or similar tool.8 - Required - Skilled with Database query languages (SQL, PL/SQL)6 - Required - Skilled in developing Requirements Traceability Matrices.6 - Required - Skilled in developing and executing Test Scripts6 - Required - Skilled in developing Test Plans and coordinating User Acceptance Testing6 - Required - Experience with general IT SDLC processes.4 - Required - Experience using JIRA for managing project/sprint tasks.1 - Required - Experience working on projects utilizing agile project management methodologies.4 - Preferred - Working in a Agile SDLC environment4 - Preferred - Experience using Jira to track work assignments.
