Note: This is a W2 only role — C2C, C2H will not be considered Summary of the Role BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Sr. IT Architect to join our client’s site in Phoenix, AZ. This role will support the design, implementation, administration, automation, and optimization of enterprise VMware cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environments. The position is responsible for managing global VMware environments, developing automation solutions, implementing cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms, troubleshooting complex enterprise systems, and serving as the technical subject matter expert for VMware technologies. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee and manage the vRealize Automation (vRA) and VMware Cloud Director (VCD) environment globally. Administer the VMware environment and troubleshoot the vRA/VCD environment. Create new endpoints as a landing zone for vRA and deploy new vORGs in VCD. Utilize Java Scripting to enhance and customize vRA. Design, script, implement, and manage Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions on VMware environments. Serve as the Automation Engineer for vRA, vRO, vCenter API, and SDK. Act as the VMware Subject Matter Expert (SME) for vRA7.x, vRO7.x, VCD, VMware Converter, vCenter, vSphere, NSX-T, and PowerCLI. Implement and test vRA 7.x environment upgrades, including tenant and fabric group design and configuration. Collaborate with team members to implement VM creation and deletion workflows in vRO. Work extensively with vRA and vRO to implement production and non-production proof of concepts (POCs) for blueprints and workflows. Deploy and manage Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and Azure NetApp Files (ANF) through the Azure portal. Deploy and manage VMware Cloud on AWS and Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP through AWS. Deploy and manage Google Cloud VMware Engine and Google Cloud NetApp Volumes through Google Cloud Platform. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 6 years of experience in IT architecture planning, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Extensive experience with vRA, vRO, VCD, and NSX-T. Strong knowledge of VMware environment administration. Proficiency in Java Scripting, REST APIs, and PowerShell scripting. Experience designing and implementing Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions. VMware certifications in vRA, vRO, VCD, or related technologies. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Excellent leadership and team management skills. In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Advanced engineering degree in a relevant field. Experience with vRO, vRA, and VCD. Ability to comprehend complex cloud environments.
