Resumen del Puesto:
El Operador de Montacargas de Almacén es responsable de operar de manera segura equipo industrial motorizado para apoyar el procesamiento de órdenes, el movimiento de inventario y el almacenamiento de productos terminados y suministros. Este puesto asegura el cumplimiento preciso de órdenes, el manejo eficiente de materiales y la adherencia a los estándares de seguridad y operación para cumplir o exceder los KPIs establecidos.
Alcance del Puesto:
El Operador de Montacargas apoya las operaciones diarias del almacén, incluyendo recibo de mercancía, envíos, control de inventario y almacenamiento de productos. Este puesto desempeña un papel crítico en mantener la exactitud del inventario, asegurar el cumplimiento oportuno de órdenes y apoyar la eficiencia general de distribución. Se espera que el operador mantenga el equipo, siga procesos estandarizados y contribuya a un ambiente de trabajo seguro y productivo.
Funciones y Responsabilidades:
Todas las responsabilidades pueden modificarse según las necesidades del negocio.
- Operar equipo Order picker y otro equipo industrial motorizado por períodos prolongados (más de 6 horas diarias).
- Realizar inspecciones de seguridad preoperativas del equipo y reportar cualquier problema de inmediato.
- Maniobrar el equipo de manera segura en pasillos, estanterías y espacios reducidos del almacén, manteniendo conciencia situacional.
- Surtir, empacar y procesar órdenes salientes con precisión conforme a los estándares de la empresa.
- Realizar almacenamiento y reabastecimiento de inventario en ubicaciones designadas.
- Cargar, descargar y mover materiales a través del almacén según se requiera.
- Mantener la exactitud del inventario mediante escaneo, etiquetado y actualizaciones en el sistema.
- Comunicarse eficazmente con equipos multifuncionales para resolver discrepancias o problemas de calidad.
- Cumplir o exceder los KPIs diarios de productividad y exactitud (por ejemplo, unidades por hora/día).
- Mantener limpieza y organización del área de trabajo conforme a los estándares 5S.
- Cumplir con todas las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad, ambientales y de la empresa.
- Realizar cuidado rutinario del equipo y reportar necesidades de mantenimiento.
- Realizar otras tareas asignadas para apoyar la distribución y las necesidades del cliente.
Habilidades y Capacidades Requeridas:
- Capacidad comprobada para operar de manera segura un order picker y equipo de almacén
- Gran atención al detalle con un alto nivel de precisión.
- Capacidad para seguir instrucciones, procesos y procedimientos operativos estándar.
- Manejo efectivo del tiempo y capacidad para priorizar tareas en un entorno acelerado.
- Fuertes habilidades de comunicación y trabajo en equipo.
- Adaptabilidad a prioridades cambiantes y demandas operativas.
Educación, Experiencia y/o Certificaciones:
- Diploma de preparatoria o equivalente
- Mínimo de 3 años de experiencia en un almacén o campo similar.
- Certificación de montacargas requerida (o capacidad para obtenerla al ser contratado).
- Certificaciones adicionales (por ejemplo, Profesional Certificado en Logística) son un plus.
Requerimientos Físicos:
- Capacidad para estar de pie, caminar y moverse por períodos prolongados durante el turno.
- Capacidad para levantar y/o mover hasta 50 libras de manera regular.
- Comodidad para trabajar en alturas mientras opera equipo order picker.
- Capacidad para operar maquinaria y equipo de almacén de manera segura.
- Capacidad para escuchar y comunicarse eficazmente en un entorno de almacén.
- Flexibilidad para trabajar horarios variados, incluyendo tardes, fines de semana y días festivos según sea necesario.
