SEASONAL CLERK

$3,167.00 - $3,570.00 per Month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or into the minimum of the alternate range when applicable. Responsibilities Perform simple, repetitive clerical, production, and other related work under the supervision of the Associate Printing Plant Superintendent in the Office of State Publishing’s Bindery Unit. Work up to 1,500 hours in a 12‑month period as a temporary seasonal clerical position. Follow the Department of General Services guidelines, the Office of State Publishing operations manual, California Code of Regulations directives, and the State Administrative Manual. Complete duties in accordance with the state examination and employment process. Qualifications Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship; the Department does not participate in E‑Verify. Meet all Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification for Seasonal Clerk. Medical clearance required prior to hiring. Priority given to CalWORKs recipients (state public assistance). Applicants must self‑report CalWORKs status and provide proof of eligibility. Resume is optional; STD 678 (State Application) must be completed accurately and on time. Desirable Qualifications Aptitude for simple clerical work; willingness to follow a prescribed routine; personal neatness; ability to follow directions.
