We focus on brand engagement and experiential experiences by providing strategic ideas, planning, and production in events, design, and technology.The Vice President of Technical Event Operations is responsible for the operational oversight of production services supporting FOX Experience & Design's on and off Lot live events, studio productions, executive presentations, and special projects. This role serves as a key business partner, ensuring that production resources, facilities, personnel, and technology are aligned to deliver exceptional event experiences.The Vice President will lead our technical production team, liaising with our events teams and stakeholders to support live event technical operations. The ideal candidate combines operational expertise and customer service excellence with a solid understanding of production technologies and workflows.Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace for a minimum of four (4) days per week is an essential function of the position. The selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESTech OpsOversight of day-to-day technical operations across multiple spaces, projects, and workstreamsServe as the primary operational liaison between the core event production teams, creative directors, and internal stakeholdersEnsure appropriate staffing, technical planning, and operational support are in place for all events and productionsIdentify gaps and hiring needs to support flawless executionEstablish standards, workflows, and best practices that support consistency and quality across events and productionsDevelop cost saving and process improvement initiatives that increase operational efficiencies.Ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience across all productions and eventsBusiness OpsEnsure the technical team maintains absolute source-of-truth documentation (event/production budgets, production schedules, planning calendars, crew call sheets, etc.), ensuring real-time updates across all platformsOversee the full lifecycle of technical production budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, reconciliation, and variance reportingManage annual departmental budget spend, tracking, and usageOversee freelance payroll needs via Wrapbook, supporting both tech and eventsEvolve FED Tech into a proactive, strategic partner to the FED team and internal stakeholdersCommunicationProvide clear and consistent communication and documentation between technical teams, stakeholders, and events teams, including budgets, production timelines, and run of show documentsStreamline cross-departmental communication, ensuring all teams are aligned throughout the planning and execution of events and productionsCollaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, FED team members, and outside production teams to accomplish goals efficiently and effectively, always striving to exceed expectationsManage project scope changes and support with additional resources, budget allocations, and impact on stakeholdersLeadershipLead production administration and operations across FOX Experience & Design's event and production venues, technical facilities, and offsite locationsServe as senior escalation point and provide guidance on complex opsIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and operational effectivenessDemonstrate exceptional situational leadership; possess the tactical skills to execute administrative workflows directly, and the managerial skills to delegate to junior staff when appropriateLead tech ops meetings, ensuring all production needs, business needs, and personnel needs are aligned for flawless events and productionsSet appropriate goals for technical and business operational excellence.WHAT YOU WILL NEED12+ years of experience in technical operations, event services, studio management, or broadcast environmentsProven success managing teams, budgets, comms, and vendors across multiple complex projects simultaneouslyStrong client-facing skills with the ability to engage effectively with executives and senior stakeholdersBroad understanding of production technologies, audiovisual systems, streaming platforms, and event operationsExceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesProficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)Ability to travelAbility to work long hours (evenings/weekends), lift 50lbs, & work on feet for extended periodsNICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKERBachelor's degreeWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
