We continuously strive to provide these services with integrity, honesty and respect. In order to continue our mission of quality care, we are seeking a Peer Counselor to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team. The successful candidate will have had personal life experiences with mental illness, substance abuse, or homelessness. The Peer Counselor will provide expertise that professional training cannot replicate.
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide outreach services to clients in the community and coordinate health services between the Agency, community and home settings. The Peer Counselor will participate as a full member of the team to carry out support services and provide: substance abuse services and education, support to families and other identified supports and crisis intervention under the supervision of the Program Manager. You will provide highly individualized services in the community and promote self-determination and decision making.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A valid driver's license, clean driving record and means of reliable transportation. A lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or homelessness.
