The Central Management Services (CMS) Division of Vehicles Contract/Obligations/Accounts Payable (AP) section is seeking to hire a professional Account Technician I. This position will examine, audit, review, and analyze financial files, documents, and reports for the State Garage Revolving Fund (SGRF). This position will verify contractual service agreements and proper account codes during the approval process of vendor payments. This position also provides support and assists other AP Section staff with examining and analysis of monthly billings for garage shops and fuel.

Under general supervision, examines, audits, reviews, and analyzes financial files, documents, and reports for the State Garage Revolving Fund (SGRF). Verifies through established processes the compliance of Central Management Services (CMS) procurement policies, contractual service agreements, and proper account codes in accordance with the Comptroller's Uniform Statewide Accounting System (CUSAS) codes during the approval process of vendor payments. Updates pertinent accounting files (i.e., site receiving documentation, batch sheets, vendor payments, contracts and amendments, change of address information, rate agreement contracts, spending history, etc.). Provides support, and assists AP Section staff, with examining and analysis of monthly billings for garage shops and fuel. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and completion of an approved training course or three years of related clerical bookkeeping experience. Qualifying state employees in the employee Upward Mobility Program may complete combinations of specific proficiency tests and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the stated requirements for this classification.
