Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Rehabilitation

Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation Frye Regional Medical Center, a 355‑bed hospital in Hickory, NC, is seeking a registered nurse to provide inpatient rehabilitation care. This full‑time day position requires a current state RN license, Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire, and preferably at least one year of nursing experience. Compensation Base salary plus a $20,000 sign‑on bonus. Schedule Three 12‑hour shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.). Essential Functions Performs plan‑of‑care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Documents patient care and monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assists patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborates with interdisciplinary staff to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support. Evaluates learning needs of patients and families, providing education appropriate to age, culture, and condition. Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients. How You Will Contribute Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs. Initiates appropriate nursing interventions. Provides care appropriate to the patient’s condition and age. Documents timely and appropriately in the medical record. Completely completes the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
