RN - Critical Care / Endoscopy (Travel Contract)

Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (Monday-Friday)
Hours: 40 hours/week (8-hour shifts)

Pay Rate: $69 - $78/hour (depends on experience)
Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with Critical Care and Advanced Endoscopy experience for a travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. The RN will provide perioperative and procedural care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure monitoring.
Schedule Details

• Monday to Friday
• 8-hour shifts
• Variable start times: 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM
• On-call requirement:
  • 16 hours/month (evenings/nights)
  • 1 weekend per month

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License
• BLS Certification (required and must be maintained)
• Minimum 1.5 years recent acute care nursing experience (within last 2 years)
• Advanced Endoscopy experience required
• Hospital-based experience in similar acuity setting required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Strong critical care clinical judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for endoscopy patients in a critical care environment
• Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure patient assessments
• Monitor patients during recovery and procedural phases
• Identify and respond to changes in patient condition
• Assist physicians and anesthesia teams during procedures
• Ensure patient safety and infection control compliance
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (EPIC preferred)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Manage emergency situations when required
