Position Overview: The Jeffrey Modell Foundation is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Marketing & Communications Intern to support the Foundation's marketing, social media, communications, education, and public relations efforts. Reporting to both the Marketing Manager and Strategic Communications & Events Manager, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in nonprofit marketing, content creation, storytelling, media relations, and written and digital communications while helping raise awareness of Primary Immunodeficiency on a global scale. The internship will begin in the summer of 2026 and continue into the school year based on availability and organizational need. Key Responsibilities: Assist with creating content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and YouTube. Design graphics, presentations, educational resources, reports, and marketing materials using Canva. Support video creation and editing for social media, campaigns, patient stories, and awareness initiatives. Draft social media captions, blog content, website copy, newsletters, and other communications materials. Assist with public relations efforts, media monitoring, and communications research. Track social media and PSA campaign performance and assist with reporting and analytics. Conduct research on industry trends, community engagement and storytelling opportunities, new resource concepts, and potential partnerships. Support Foundation events, awareness campaigns, and special projects as needed. Qualifications: Experience using Canva and social media platforms. Ability to write clearly and professionally for different audiences. Interest in marketing, communications, public relations, healthcare, advocacy, or nonprofit work. Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short‑form content creation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or video editing tools is a plus. What You'll Gain: Hands‑on experience in nonprofit marketing and communications.
