Business Office Billing Specialist Full Time Position/40 hours per week Shift Hours M-F, 8AM - 4:30PM Full Benefits Scheurer Health, a Critical Access rural hospital, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team in Pigeon, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience as a medical billing clerk and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
- Resolve billing discrepancies and errors
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of medical billing codes and terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and billing software
