About the Role: Homemaker Cook

As a Homemaker Cook, you'll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at The Village.

As a Homemaker Cook, you will:

• Create a warm, "home-like" dining experience by preparing and serving delicious, visually appealing meals tailored to residents' preferences and dietary needs.
• Engage with residents to honor their food choices and provide personalized service, including accommodating special requests and substitutions.
• Maintain spotless, organized food storage and dining areas while following strict sanitation and safety procedures.
• Manage inventory, ensure meal supplies are ready, and minimize waste through careful handling and efficient kitchen practices.
• Foster community by dining with residents and offering assistance to those needing help with eating in a caring, supportive environment.

Opening:

• Part-time - Weekdays and Weekends

Qualifications:

• Experience in food preparation and safe food handling
• Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning procedures
• Skilled in customizing meals while respecting nutritional guidelines and personal choice.
• Capable of prepping for upcoming meals, managing food stock, and minimizing waste.
