How You'll Make An Impact In This Role

• Study Execution: Preparing patients for polysomnograms (PSGs), which involves applying electrodes and sensors to monitor brain waves, heart rate, and breathing.
• Patient Advocacy & Safety: Interviewing patients to understand their specific symptoms and monitoring them throughout the night to intervene during apneic events or equipment malfunctions.
• Data Analysis (Scoring): This is a high-level skill where you "score" the studyidentifying sleep stages, respiratory events (hypopneas/apneas), and limb movements to provide an interpreted report for the physician.
• Technical Management: Calibrating sensitive diagnostic equipment and performing troubleshooting or repairs to ensure data integrity.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credentialed from the Tennessee Polysomnography Professional Standards Committee obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education:
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
