About Curacity

Curacity is a two-sided marketplace connecting travel brands that need to be discovered with the publishers, travel writers, and content creators travelers actually trust. Hotels and cruise brands define the editorial coverage they need; our network of publishers and creators produces original content; Curacity coordinates the fulfillment and measures the outcomes.

We operate two products on that network. Newsletter places original editorial recommendations in front of publisher subscriber audiences and ties the resulting bookings back to the content that drove them. Vista AI builds the distributed editorial footprint that determines whether a property gets recommended when a traveler asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, or Gemini where to stay.

Role Overview

Our reporting, attribution, and billing depend on data we receive from hotel partners and integration sources. When that data is incomplete, incorrectly mapped, or misunderstood, the impact can reach both our customers and our business.

We’re hiring a Senior Analytics & Data Quality Analyst to help us strengthen the reliability of that data and turn it into useful business insight.

This role will evolve over time. Initially, you will focus heavily on validating data during a major transition: investigating discrepancies, confirming that partner and property data has been migrated and mapped correctly, improving data hygiene, and helping establish repeatable quality controls. As that transition is completed and those processes mature, the role will broaden into general analytics, including developing dashboards, analyzing business performance, defining metrics, and producing actionable insights for teams across the company.

This is a strong fit for someone who combines analytical rigor with curiosity and practical judgment. You enjoy tracing an unexpected number back to its source, but you are equally interested in explaining what the data means and helping people make better decisions with it.

What You'll Do

Initially: validate and strengthen our data

• Validate data associated with integrations, hotel onboarding, and our broader data transition.
• Use SQL and other analytical tools to assess completeness, accuracy, consistency, expected ranges, referential integrity, and mapping to our internal data model.
• Reconcile data across source systems, transformed datasets, reports, and billing outputs.
• Investigate suspicious values, missing records, duplicate entities, attribution issues, and other inconsistencies.
• Trace issues through ingestion, transformation, and reporting workflows to identify likely root causes.
• Distinguish among internal defects, upstream source-data problems, mapping issues, and expected business behavior.
• Document findings clearly and work with engineering, product, operations, and account teams to coordinate resolution.
• Improve data-hygiene practices by identifying recurring issues and recommending validation rules, monitoring, automation, or process changes.
• Help establish a repeatable approach to validating new data sources and newly onboarded properties.

Over time: expand into broader analytics

• Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reporting for business and operational teams.
• Analyze trends, performance drivers, and anomalies, translating findings into clear recommendations.
• Partner with stakeholders to turn business questions into well-defined analyses and metrics.
• Define and document important fields, KPIs, calculations, and business rules.
• Improve the usability and trustworthiness of our reporting and analytics datasets.
• Perform ad hoc analysis to support decisions across the company.
• Continue monitoring high-risk data areas and improving quality controls as our data and products evolve.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data quality, analytics engineering, or a related role.
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to investigate unfamiliar datasets, reconcile results across sources, and diagnose unexpected output.
• Experience working with data pipelines and an understanding of how data moves through ingestion, transformation, warehousing, and reporting.
• Experience validating data from external sources such as APIs, file feeds, partner platforms, or third-party integrations.
• Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail. You test assumptions, look for edge cases, and do not treat a successful load as proof that the data is correct.
• Experience building dashboards and communicating insights through a modern BI or visualization tool.
• The ability to explain data issues and analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills, including the ability to document findings and requirements precisely.
• Comfort working independently in an environment where some processes and definitions are still being established.
• The ability to balance immediate investigation with longer-term improvements that reduce recurring work.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python or another scripting language for analysis, validation, or lightweight automation.
• Experience with dbt tests, Great Expectations, Soda, Monte Carlo, or other data-quality and observability tools.
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, or a comparable platform.
• Experience working with data that affects billing, revenue, attribution, or other financially sensitive workflows.
• Familiarity with entity resolution, identity matching, or record-linkage problems.
• Experience with hospitality, travel, marketing analytics, or advertising technology data.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools and modern cloud data warehouses.
• Experience improving data-quality or analytics practices in a growing organization.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days: You understand our most important data sources, business definitions, and reporting workflows. You have helped validate high-priority data associated with our transition, established a consistent way to document and investigate discrepancies, and become a trusted partner for data questions.

During the transition: High-risk data is systematically reviewed, material discrepancies are identified and resolved, and recurring problems are converted into clearer rules, better monitoring, or more reliable processes. Stakeholders have visibility into validation progress and outstanding risks.

As the role evolves: You spend less time performing repetitive manual validation and more time helping teams understand and use the data. Core dashboards and metrics are reliable and well documented, business questions are answered with clear analysis, and data issues are increasingly detected before they affect customers or financial workflows.
