Shift for the Traveler 10-2230

Type of staff:

Day Shift CN + three RN @7, two techs, midshifts @: 10, 12

Night Shift CN +3 at 1900, two techs

Patient Ratios 4:1, sometimes 5:1 depending on acuity

Type of equipment moderate to busy

EMR Meditech

On Call Requirements: Sometimes dept will pre-schedule an on-call/ use-or-lose shift, which would be OT if called in.

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.

Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

Emergency Dept experience >2 years.

Trauma experience, Stroke, strong sepsis skills

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

Experienced ER /Trauma/ Peds ER/ Behavior Health

HCA experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP (preferred), STABLE, CPI

Scrub Color/Attire - Professional dress, professional groom, minimal piercings, color of hair must be a natural color, tattoos must be covered. Scrub color is royal blue, or royal blue top with black scrub bottoms.

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

We are strict with attendance. The team works well together, looking for a great team player.

Weekends and On call. Any additional information:

Every other weekend is required.
