Salary The salary range for this position is $24.72 - $39.30 per hour. Placement is dependent on experience, internal equity, and, for union positions, the collective bargaining agreement. Position Overview The Environmental Services Resource Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Establish and review standards and work procedures for all Environmental Services staff in accordance with facility policies. Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate EVS coverage. Assist the Manager in supervising various aspects of the department and collaborate with managers and coordinators to achieve NMH mission, goals, and objectives. Participate in the interview process, evaluate, and recommend termination of facility Environmental Services personnel in accordance with facility standards. Orient, train, and supervise all Environmental Services staff under span of control. Regularly inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the facility and supervise relocation and storage of furnishings and equipment to improve sanitation and appearance. Report unsafe conditions and conduct research to improve EVS technology. Participate in regular staff meetings and communicate with other departments to coordinate EVS activities. May serve on facility‑wide committees. Conduct daily touch points and coaching with EVS staff. Schedule major project work, ensuring adequate staff and supplies are available. Order supplies and equipment using PeopleSoft requisitions. Conduct regular inventory of housekeeping supplies and place orders. Keep costs within approved budgetary amounts. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to speak, spell, read, write, and understand English. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with patients of all ages. Exceptional patient relations skills. Ability to work under stress in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and good attendance. Ability to be on feet for the majority of the day. Excellent hygiene is a necessity. Must have no lifting restrictions.
