Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We believe that a variety of backgrounds makes our team stronger and more innovative.# At Air Liquide, we ****RESPECT**, **HONOR**** and ****VALUE**** diversity.# ****Air Liquide is Hiring for a Production Technician** **in Taft, LA****!****# ***We are looking for you!**** ****Comprehensive Family Benefits:**** Air Liquide offers a full benefits package designed to support your whole life, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance.* ****Support for Parents:**** We offer up to 14-week paid child birth benefits to support growing families.* ****Future Security:**** 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match, Tuition Assistance, Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick time.* ****Early Access:**** Your benefits start after just 1 day of employment.****Recruiter: Adrienne (View email address on click.appcast.io)****The Production Technician position is responsible for day to day operations of the ASU plant located in Taft, LA.## **Job Duties:*** Day-to-day safe and reliable operation of the Air Separation Unit (ASU).* Demonstrate an overall understanding of plant safety rules, regulations, and company safety policies/procedures.* Operational checks of equipment, monitoring performance, making and logging equipment rounds, safety and other equipment inspections as assigned, monitoring and permitting maintenance work, equipment isolation, preventative maintenance as assigned, troubleshooting operating issues, reporting process and equipment deviations, log entry, manual control of equipment, and writing and following procedures.* Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), corporate procedures; read and interpret flow charts, process piping ISOs, simple schematics, P&IDs, electrical schematics; perform basic math operations.* Perform operator rounds, sampling, truck loading, operations PM's.* Partner with contractors, visitors, co-workers and others to uphold company safety policies/procedures.* Support and comply with all safety, health, and environmental procedures as defined by site and corporate personnel.* Demonstrate knowledge & understanding of control board and operator interface computer consoles.* Keep accurate records and be diligent in documentation and record retention policies and procedures.* Foster and champion high housekeeping and organizational standards.* Able to multi-task during emergency situations in a collaborative yet self-reliant environment.* Contribute insights to advance plant safety, efficiency and quality.* Operate the ASU plant in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner.* Develop equipment purging and isolation plans (LOTO) as required.* Prepare equipment for maintenance activities in a safe manner.* Enter work orders into CMMS (Maximo) as required.* Bring a constructive, professional mindset and have the ability to align with operational guidance.* Provide on-call assistance or work additional shifts when required.* Actively participate in training programs.* Develop or revise operating procedures as appropriate.* Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.## \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_## ## Are you a MATCH?## **Required Qualifications:*** High school diploma or GED required.* 2+ years of technical training and/or operations experience* Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts and extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate.* Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays in order to meet shift and on-call requirements.* Ability to use computers with knowledge of Google software* Ability to work in a team environment* Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with management and external customers* Knowledge and understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment, and piping systems.* Highly motivated, self-starter, with a strong willingness to learn new things.* Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.## **Physical Requirements:*** Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, FRC clothing and 4-GAS monitor.* Has full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs.* Ability to climb and ascend vertical ladders as required and work off elevated platforms/surfaces.* Ability to enter and work in confined spaces.* Ability to wear a respirator.## **Preferred Qualifications:*** 2 year associates degree in a technical field or technical training. #J-18808-Ljbffr
