Position Summary

The Part-Time Park Attendant supports the day-to-day upkeep of Carl Miller Park, promoting a welcoming atmosphere and an enjoyable experience for all park visitors. Must be at least 18 years old.

• Greet and welcome visitors
• Assist visitors with transporting picnic supplies by golf cart to the pavilion and/or grill areas
• Maintenance tasks to include pressure washing, painting, landscaping, minor repairs, cleaning restrooms, removal of trash and/or debris
• Check on the restrooms every hour to ensure cleanliness and restock restroom supplies as needed
• Monitor activities in a variety of areas to ensure visitors follow park rules and maintain a safe and secure environment
• Conduct daily water analysis of splash pads by performing basic math calculations to ensure proper water pH levels
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Represents Newnan Utilities in a positive and professional manner to all customers, contractors, and vendors, responding promptly to their needs
• Exhibits teamwork and puts team success above personal interests
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and manuals
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment such as masks, goggles, gloves, and other safety equipment
• Ability to safely operate various tools and equipment such as but not limited to landscaping equipment, basic tools, and pressure washer

Years of Working Experience

• 1-3 years’ of customer service experience

Educational Requirement

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Licenses | Certifications Required

• Valid State Driver’s License

Hardware | Software | Technical | Other Skills

• Knowledge of basic math
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to operate a golf cart
• Strong customer service skills

Environment

• Must work outside in all weather conditions
• Outdoor work exposed to loud noise, dust, dirt, mud, insects, and animals

Schedule

• Requires weekend and evening hours and availability to work on some holidays

Ability to perform moderate physical work.

• Ability to perform activities such as: 
  • Lifting of up to 15 lbs
  • Frequent bending/kneeling/stooping/crouching
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
