Travel Labor and Delivery RN - $2,737 per week

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Davis, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We’re looking for Labor and Delivery RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Davis, CA. The right RN should have at least 3 years of recent acute care experience. L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during, and after delivery of a baby. They must ensure the medical as well as emotional needs of patients are met at all times throughout the birthing process. As an L&D RN, you’ll be responsible for assisting physicians with epidurals or pain medications, episiotomies, and preparation for cesarean deliveries. Responsibilities Stay with and monitor the patient throughout labor. Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques. Check the cervix periodically to monitor progression. Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids before and after the birthing process. Aid the physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc. Provide immediate care of newborn. L&D Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. They must be able to lift 20 pounds easily, and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. They also need good stress‑coping skills and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
