Surgical Unit RN - Meriden, Connecticut

Step into an essential perioperative nursing role supporting surgical patients and multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic operating room environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub during surgical procedures, ensuring all perioperative protocols and sterile techniques are maintained
• Perform comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing assessments
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to deliver optimal, safe care
• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals throughout all phases of surgery
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and patient documentation
• Respond promptly to emergencies or complications, demonstrating critical thinking and clinical expertise
• Uphold infection control and patient safety standards throughout the surgical suite

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Previous experience in an operating room (OR) environment required
• Demonstrated skills in circulating and/or scrubbing in various surgical specialties
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient advocacy abilities
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure clinical settings
