Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking a Technical Recruiter who can manage the recruiting for engineering and construction roles — sourcing, screening, tracking applications and hiring direct and contract personnel for industrial projects in engineering, piping, structural, mechanical, civil, and related industrial disciplines. This is an on-site position based in Birmingham, AL. Remote work is not available.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage onboarding and recruiting for engineering and construction positions, from intake through offer and placementSource, track, screen, and qualify candidates Build and maintain a strong pipeline of engineering and construction talent for current and future project needsConduct in-depth candidate interviews to assess technical qualifications, work history, and cultural fitPartner with discipline managers to understand role requirements and hiring timelinesMaintain accurate, up-to-date candidate and requisition records and communicate with vendorsNegotiate pay rates, raises, offers, and placement terms with candidates and vendorsTrack recruiting metrics and provide regular pipeline and placement updatesEnsure compliance with employment documentation and staffing industry regulationsUpdating company job postingsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in engineering, construction, or industrial or technical staffingDemonstrated ability to source and screen technical candidatesStrong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsMust be local or willing to relocate to the Birmingham, AL area PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSLongevity/tenure in previous roles — a stable employment history is a strong plusExperience recruiting for piping, structural, mechanical, civil, or project controls disciplinesPrior experience in a staffing agency or third-party recruiting environmentGreat people skills and a desire to support company growth.COMPENSATION & SCHEDULEPay: Depends on Experience (DOE)\nCompany DescriptionAt Genesis, we love people.
