Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through advanced clinical expertise and collaborative teamwork. Supervises and coordinates care activities for ICU patients, adhering to established standards and policies.

Responsibilities:

Assess patients' medical conditions by collecting relevant data and analyzing assessment findings.
Develop individualized care plans with clearly defined interventions and desired outcomes.
Implement care plans, coordinate delivery of services, and employ strategies to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Evaluate patient progress toward recovery goals, adjusting interventions as needed.
Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to deliver holistic, compassionate care.
Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs.

Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Minimum of two years recent ICU nursing experience.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
Demonstrated ability to perform clinical assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary care teams.
Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
