About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Required South Carolina license or Compact license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS. TNCC preferred Must-Have: Must complete all assigned modules prior to start date. Attendance at staff meetings is required. Description: This position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. The shift consists of 4x12 hour nights. The nurse will be required to work every other weekend. On-call duty is not required. The nurse may float within scope to meet facility needs. Candidates with 2 years of experience are preferred. First-time travelers are accepted. The nurse must have a valid South Carolina license prior to the start date. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS, with TNCC preferred. The nurse will care for a diverse patient population. Daily census includes a variety of patient care needs. The facility consists of 97 staffed beds. The emergency department averages about 80 visits per day. The role may require working with an interdisciplinary support team. The nurse will be responsible for managing patient ratios as per acuity levels. Holiday rotation may be required as needed. Guaranteed hours allow for the facility to call off one shift every two weeks. Travelers should be aware that assignment could include emergency response duties during hurricane season. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission.
