Paralegal and Officer A Paralegal will generally have at least three years of experience as a paralegal, with a portion of those years in the financial services industry. A Paralegal will have significant responsibility for the provision of day‑to‑day legal administration services to one or several clients. A Paralegal must demonstrate an ability to work with general direction from senior attorneys or a Paralegal Manager and must be adept at juggling priorities for multiple clients to meet deadlines based on changing client and department needs. In addition, a Paralegal must demonstrate a good working knowledge of the legal administration services provided to mutual fund clients. Responsibilities Prepares Board meeting materials (agendas, memoranda, resolutions, draft minutes, regulatory updates) and preparation of Board packages to board members and other interested individuals prior to board meetings. Drafts Board meeting minutes and resolutions for review by senior attorneys. Prepares filings with the SEC (including annual updates to Registration Statements on Form N-1A, supplements, Form N-PX and Form N-CSR). Maps and updates data on ProNavigator. Maintains and adheres to corporate filings calendars and recurring board agendas. Coordinates with clients, outside counsels, State Street Financial Administration and other fund service providers with respect to fund issues. Works at the general direction of a senior attorney in the delivery of legal administration services to clients. May participate in special projects for which the problems and issues are clearly defined. Attributes Demonstrates high level of integrity and professionalism. Demonstrates independent follow through on issues and tasks. Capable of independently producing high quality routine paralegal work with general supervision. Effectively communicates status of projects to appropriate persons in a timely manner. Salary Range $65,000 - $106,250 Annual The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
