• Location: San Pablo, CA 94806 (East Bay / San Francisco Bay Area)
• Position: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Medical Assistant (Clinic)
• Setting: Community Clinic - outpatient clinic, primary care, pediatrics, prenatal support
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 06/22/2026
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,010 - $1,090
• Schedule Notes: No weekends or on-call required

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current/active CMA or RMA certification
• Current/active BLS Certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a community clinic or medical office (clinic medical assistant, primary care, pediatrics preferred)
• Clinical competency with EMR/EHR systems - experience with EPIC highly preferred
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting and support multiple departments (Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, Prenatal)
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and clinical support as a Certified Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic setting
• Use Electronic Health Record systems to document registration, chief complaint, vitals, review of systems, medication lists, and medical history
• Support patient flow by timely rooming, preparing exam rooms, and maintaining infection control procedures
• Perform point-of-care testing, basic in-clinic labs, vaccinations, and phlebotomy according to clinic protocols
• Conduct EKGs, ear lavages, audiometry, and other routine clinical tests as needed
• Assist clinicians during exams, provide patient education, and complete discharge instructions including referrals and appointment scheduling
• Provide front-desk backup including phone triage, reception, and medical records support when needed
• Participate in outreach activities (home visits, street outreach) and internal quality improvement or population health initiatives
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure cleanliness and readiness of clinic areas
