About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Telemetry experience - Experience with pressors, positive inotropes, pacemakers, and chest tubes - Experience in Cath/EP Lab recovery and pericardial drains - Proficiency in frequent site and vital sign assessments Description: This position offers guaranteed hours. The unit has 10 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. Staffing includes unit secretaries and technical support. The unit is equipped with Alaris IV pumps, GE bedside monitors, IABP, and Impella devices. The documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requires working 3 shifts per week, including 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule. On-call requirements may apply, along with a floating policy to medical ICU and floor units. Candidates should have experience with open heart procedures and ECMO cannulation. This unit has received recognition as a Unit of Distinction, maintaining high expectations for quality and patient experience scores. Additional considerations for candidates include new equipment, advanced technology, and the tenure and experience of the staff.
