The Contra Costa Health Department is recruiting individuals to fill a Cytotechnologist Per Diem position(s) located in the Clinical Laboratory Unit at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) located in Martinez, CA. The Cytotechnologist will examine smears of tissue for abnormalities of cell matter, will screen to identify atypical cells, will assist physicians in the preparation of slides for specialized procedures, will document the slide interpretation results of each gynecological and non-gynecological cytology case, and will contact other cytological labs to study abnormal smears. License Required: A valid license as a Cytotechnologist issued by the State of California Department of Health. Experience: Two years of full-time experience in a clinical laboratory performing cytological tests and analyses.
