Environmental Compliance Engineer

Job Title Environmental Compliance Engineer Department SHE-R Summary The Environmental Compliance Engineer is responsible for executing air quality and environmental compliance programs to ensure full alignment with federal, state, and local regulations. The role provides practical guidance on regulatory requirements, emerging risks, and opportunities to improve emissions performance, and serves as a key resource to operations, engineering, and business development. Primary Responsibilities Execute air permit and compliance submittals. Track and interpret air quality regulations and advise management. Interact directly with federal, state, and local officials. Establish and maintain relationships with operations, engineering, and business development teams. Plan, organize, and oversee assigned work programs. Monitor schedules, budgets, and evaluate third‑party contractor work. Review and analyze emissions testing results and environmental inspections. Represent the company on industry committees related to air quality. Provide 24/7 support for emergency response and reporting. Support regulatory reporting to agencies including the RRC, GLO, TCEQ, and EPA. Manage SPCC plans, reporting, and inspections. Lead the GHG/ESG reporting program using advanced EHS data management platforms. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline. Minimum eight years of experience preparing and submitting emissions inventories, air permit applications, and related environmental compliance documentation. Working knowledge of LDAR regulations at upstream oil and gas facilities. Experience performing regulatory analyses and interpreting agency rules, regulations, and guidance. Working knowledge of the Clean Air Act, state/local/tribal air quality regulations, Title V compliance, source emission calculations, air pollution control technologies, and dispersion modeling. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience training and interacting with officials. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and related software. Additional Requirements Work location: Both field and office sites. Schedule: 9/80 with travel to INEOS field locations. Travel required. Drug‑free workplace. Preferred relocation to the Denver metropolitan area. No current sponsorship of employment visas. Compensation & Benefits Annual salary range: $120,000 – $180,000, with potential discretionary bonus up to 40% of base salary.
