TECHNICIAN, FLOOR (FULL AND PART TIME)

Overview Location: Arizona State University West Valley – 1151 S Forest Ave, Tempe, AZ 85281. (Openings at other locations within the district available.) Schedule: Shift options vary. Full and part‑time positions with flexibility to meet most scheduling needs. Applications accepted online only. Pay: $17.05 per hour. Job Summary Floor Technician responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment. Essential Functions Maintain knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment. Utilize automated equipment to clean large floor areas. Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred. Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required. Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
