Registered Nurse - PACU

Role Overview: Provides specialized nursing care in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period, assessing, communicating, and documenting patient status in the PACU. Supervises healthcare staff such as PCTs, CNAs, MAs, and LPNs, reporting to the Clinical Director. Qualifications Requires a high school diploma or GED, an active RN license, and at least one year of PACU or ICU experience. CPR certification is mandatory; ACLS and PALS are preferred. Prior ASC experience is advantageous. Key Responsibilities Organizes resources effectively assesses and documents physical and emotional patient status develops and implements individualized care plans monitors patient progress communicates changes to medical staff ensures patient comfort, privacy, and dignity performs postoperative assessments reviews discharge instructions manages medication reconciliation and patient education maintains inventory of supplies and equipment Skills & Qualities Ability to collaborate with team members, make decisions, solve problems, and promote a positive facility image.
