All Coastal Health District, County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in events not limited to, but including staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision Administers prescribed medications Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients’ responses and conditions based on the protocols of the clinical trial in which the participant is enrolled Monitors and records all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in clients’ conditions Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained Provides education to client and family Qualifications — PH Nurse 2: Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one year of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or one year of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse 1 (HCP190) or position equivalent. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years in a Public Health or Outpatient Clinic setting, and 2+ years of patient/client case management experience. Strong knowledge of infectious disease, HIV/AIDS, and STD risk factors, medical implications and treatment options.
