The successful candidate should demonstrate expertise in the following areas: analog electronics, digital electronics, microcontrollers, C/C++ programming, instrumentation, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Salary: $45.60 per hour Classification Title: Adjunct Instructor Job Code: 2501 (PT) FLSA: Exempt Position Pay Grade: Salary Plan C Part‑Time Summary Statement: An incumbent is responsible for implementing curricula, instructing assigned courses consistent with syllabi, evaluating student learning, and fostering student success. Nature and Scope: An incumbent in this class typically reports to the Dean of Instruction through an Instructional Director, Department Chairperson, or Program Coordinator. They plan, organize, and instruct to promote and direct successful student learning, aligned with the College’s values and goals. Principal Accountabilities Plan, organize, and instruct courses as assigned, utilizing effective instructional strategies, LMS, communication, classroom management, leadership skills, and instructional/educational technology to promote student success. Demonstrate sound classroom management responding to students’ diverse academic needs. Follow the prescribed course outline, using texts selected by the department and supplemental material deemed appropriate. Provide instruction according to the class schedule and instructional hours established; notify the Chairperson of cancellation as soon as possible. Assist students toward course completion by providing outreach, guidance, and timely feedback. Make oneself accessible and available to answer students’ questions in a timely manner. Adhere to College policies and procedures related to employment, academics, student behavior, and the Academic Calendar; maintain timely student records. Encourage students to complete course evaluation forms, review summaries, and develop improvement plans. Attend and participate in College meetings for orientation, professional development, or departmental activities as assigned. Perform other related duties as required. Knowledge of computers and instructional methodology. Knowledge of theoretical foundations of learning and instruction as applied to face‑to‑face, hybrid, and distance environments. Knowledge and understanding of competency‑based learning. Ability to use teaching strategies that promote successful learning across diverse styles. Ability to use assessment to enhance learning.
