Overview Position – Construction Inspector – New York, NY. VRX, Inc. offers proactive, big-picture thinking and planning, as well as detailed program, project, and asset management. We provide turnkey services to the public and private sectors. Our specialties include client-focused program and asset management; construction management and inspection; civil engineering; bridge and structural design; utility engineering; and comprehensive environmental services. VRX is more than 180 people strong with offices across Texas, Oklahoma, and New York. Responsibilities Prepare reports on project status, problems encountered, and overall results Inspect materials for installation and verify certifications or lab reports Perform material sampling and required testing Direct the contractor to rectify all areas of non-compliance regarding safety, maintenance of traffic, and site maintenance Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills Qualifications and Licenses Experience on projects for NYCDDC, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, PANYNJ, or MTA is a plus Bachelor\'s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Engineering or Construction Management, or high school diploma/equivalent with 5 years of experience in construction inspection, or NICET II, III, or IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle to travel to project sites for inspections Water Main Inspection Certificate OSHA 10-hour certification ACI certification Benefits VRX, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, Health Savings Account option, and a 401k plan with company matching.
