Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Oncology & General Surgery)

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver primary nursing care to patients on a 24-bed Medical/Surgical unit with an Oncology and General Surgery focus
• Administer chemotherapy in accordance with unit policy; chemo administration is restricted to chemo-certified nurses only
• Monitor and document vital signs per unit protocol, including every 8 hours for standard patients and every 4 hours for remote telemetry patients
• Collaborate within a team-based care model alongside charge nurses, fellow RNs, and administrative care technicians
• Utilize the Meditech EMR system for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary care team using an iPhone-based nursing communication system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Medical/Surgical experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Chemotherapy certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience working on a remote telemetry unit
