Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Hospitalist Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity beginning in December in Bridgeport, West Virginia . Join a robust hospital medicine program offering 12-hour day and night shifts , substantial physician coverage and a manageable daily census.
Opportunity Highlights
- December start with ongoing coverage
- Minimum 7 shifts per month
- Day or night coverage available
- Days: 7A–7P
- Nights: 7P–7A
- Average daytime census: 16–18 patients
- Approximately 2–3 daytime admissions
- Epic EMR
- No procedures required
Hospitalist Coverage Model
- 12 physicians covering days
- 4 physicians covering nights
- Daytime APP support from 7A–7P
- Nights focused on admissions and codes
- Open ICU
- Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians round in the ICU and manage ventilated patients
Practice Environment
The daytime service combines a 16–18 patient census with approximately 2–3 admissions , supported by a large hospitalist team and dedicated APP coverage.
Physicians interested in nights will find a different workflow centered on admissions and codes , with four physicians scheduled overnight. The open ICU has Pulmonary/Critical Care involvement, including management of ventilated patients .
Requirements
- Hospitalist experience
- Ability to provide at least 7 shifts per month
- Comfortable with the selected day or night coverage model
- Appropriate West Virginia licensure and credentialing eligibility
