This role will collaborate closely with design engineers, project managers, and market leadership to deliver high-quality infrastructure and airport construction projects. The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing construction phase services, including inspection management, contractor coordination, and client communication. This individual will lead field teams, ensure compliance with contract documents, and implement best practices to drive quality, safety, and project success.The ideal candidate will be located in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Missouri, or Texas.We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.What You Will Do:Manage construction inspection activities for infrastructure and aviation projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirementsLead and supervise inspection staff, providing direction, mentorship, and performance oversightCoordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals and expectationsMonitor contractor performance, including reviewing submittals and recommending corrective actions when necessaryOversee quality of materials and workmanship, ensuring adherence to project specificationsProvide on-site leadership, including issuing field direction and supporting resolution of construction issuesTrack project progress, prepare daily and weekly reports, and maintain accurate documentationDevelop meeting agendas, facilitate discussions, and document meeting minutesSupport project budgeting and scheduling effortsReview certified payrolls for compliance with Davis-Bacon wage requirementsEnsure accuracy and completeness of as-built drawingsPromote and enforce job site safety standards and proceduresWhat You Will Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field15+ years of construction management or project management experienceStrong understanding of civil engineering and land development construction practices, including means and methodsExperience with construction inspection, observation reporting, and quantity trackingProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teamsAbility to provide constructive feedback and guidance to team membersOSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification (or ability to obtain)Ability to safely navigate construction sites and comply with all safety requirementsTravel Requirements:This role requires approximately 60% travel to support onsite airport projects in the western US.
