Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Locum Opportunity Ohio

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for an Emergency Medicine locum opportunity in Ohio . This position offers 12-hour shifts with no call in a community hospital Emergency Department seeing approximately 25 000 annual visits . Candidates with prior Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience are preferred.

Schedule

• No call

• 12-hour NP shifts

• Monday Friday:

  • 9:30 AM 9:30 PM

  • 1:30 PM 1:30 AM

• Saturday Sunday:

  • 10:00 AM 8:00 PM

  • 2:30 PM 12:30 AM

• 24 hours of physician coverage daily

• 22 hours of APP coverage daily

Practice Setting

• Emergency Medicine

• Community hospital

• 115 hospital beds

• 17-bed Emergency Department

• Approximately 25 000 annual ED visits

• No telehealth

Responsibilities

• Provide Emergency Medicine coverage

• Independently evaluate patients

• Diagnose and treat patients within NP scope of practice

• Collaborate with Emergency Medicine physicians and other clinical staff

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner

• Master's or Doctorate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

• FNP or ACNP certification

• Ohio NP license or ability to obtain

• Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience preferred

Certifications & Licensure

• BLS required

• ACLS required

• PALS required

• NRP required

• DEA required

• Open to candidates who need to obtain an Ohio license

Credentialing

• Approximately 120-day privileging timeframe

• TB requirements per credentialing standards

• Flu requirements per credentialing standards

Ideal Candidate

An FNP or ACNP with Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience who is comfortable independently evaluating and treating patients in a busy community Emergency Department. This opportunity is well suited for an APP seeking 12-hour shifts, no call, and substantial daily physician and APP support .
