Eligible candidates are hired into a full- or part-time position. Bonus amount prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Part Time (20 hrs); Day Shift The Maine Sleep Institute, the leading facility in the state providing comprehensive sleep care, is looking to add a new care team member! Responsibilities What you’ll do: Work with a dynamic team of certified sleep physicians, respiratory therapists, and polysomnographers to diagnose and treat sleep and waking disorders in infants, children, and adults. Summary The Respiratory Therapist - Practice role is responsible for administering or assisting with diagnostic testing and studies of the cardiopulmonary system, neurophysiological studies and sleep disorder studies. Performs respiratory therapy procedures in the outpatient practice, such as pulse oximetry, oxygen therapy, PPD testing, nebulizer treatments, and six minute walks, etc. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an AMA approved program in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent is required. License/Certifications: Current Maine license as Respiratory Therapist and an RRT from NBRC required. Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS, PALS and NRP Certifications required or must obtain within one year of start date or according to department guidelines. Experience: Three years of work experience in Respiratory Care preferred.
