As a technician, responsibilities include:Installing and servicing overhead doors, docks, dock levelers, springs, cables, and other essential hardware.Setting up and maintaining various commercial and industrial specialty doors, equipment, and accessories.Ensuring quality by meticulously checking for proper installation, clearance, and balance.Delivering unparalleled customer service and responding to customer inquiries honestly and pleasantly.To excel in this role, you should:Have one or more years of experience installing and/or servicing commercial and industrial overhead doors and docksBe a master of hand and power tools, showcasing your knowledge in this area.Possess mechanical aptitude that enables you to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges.Be a team player who can also work independently.Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues and customers.Have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.Be capable of regularly lifting anywhere between 50-100 lbs.Physical and mental demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, and drive a company vehicle. The employee is frequently required to reach above shoulder height; climb or balance; and be mobile within the office. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
