Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board
• One year experience as an RRT
• BLS certification
• Ability to operate invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices
• Experience with oximetry and capnography monitoring
• Ability to perform 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition
• Ability to perform pulmonary function studies according to policy
• Ability to assist with respiratory-related procedures including bronchoscopy, percutaneous trachs, and chest tube placement
• Ability to perform tracheostomy care, including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes
• Ability to perform arterial puncture according to policy
• Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines
• Ability to perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes via free hand technique and/or video laryngoscope system
• Ability to set up, self-test, operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment
