Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for a PRN floater role at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Centers in Louisiana, performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring quality patient care in a multi-location setting.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical procedures per departmental protocols
Operate, monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
Prepare, test and evaluate reagents and controls; document quality control procedures
Report accurate and timely test results and assist with specimen processing as needed
Maintain safe work environment and replenish testing supplies

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
Louisiana State Medical Technologist License
ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
1+ year clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computers
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
