Senior Accountant-Healthcare

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant with multi-location medical or hospital practice experience to join their Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAS) group. The accountant will provide advisory and traditional bookkeeping and compliance support, partnering with clients and internal teams to provide accurate financial reporting, operational insight, and scalable accounting solutions using cloud-based technology. This is a remote role- candidate MUST reside in NJ and be able to travel occasionally to a Morris County, New Jersey office for meetings. Required • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field • Healthcare accounting knowledge, including revenue cycle and third-party payor considerations • 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in Client Accounting Services department • Strong accrual accounting and month-end close experience and GAAP knowledge • QuickBooks Online (QBO) for GL • Experience with Bill.com or similar AP automation tools •Active CPA license or CPA-eligible preferred Key Responsibilities include • Manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of CAS clients, overseeing month-end and year-end close processes on an accrual basis • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports and ensuring accurate revenue recognition, expense accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations • Identify and resolve accounting issues, variances, and inconsistencies • Assist in analyzing financial results and trends to support client decision-making • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis • Help clients improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial visibility • Assist with onboarding new CAS clients, including system setup and workflow design • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement • Support firm initiatives related to cloud accounting, analytics, and workflow standardization target Salary - $100k Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
