Registered Nurse (RN) | Women's Center

Position Overview Location: Avera Queen of Peace Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays (United States of America). Pay Range: $32.50–$48.50 per hour. Sign‑on bonus up to $15,000.00 and student‑loan repayment program ($167/month, up to $10,000). Shift Differential: $3 for hours between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., $2 on weekends, and $5 on weekend nights. Responsibilities Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions; communicate the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health care team; coordinate with other health‑care providers; provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends; confer with physicians. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories; examining patients; documenting patient physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors; confer with family and friends; establish nursing diagnosis; set objectives; define interventions, schedules, and timetables. Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals; instruct patient, family, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self‑care skills; answer questions; provide information and resources. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measure health outcomes; review records; note changing conditions and re‑evaluate care objectives; modify nursing care plan. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration procedures, controlled‑substance regulations, and organization standards; alert others to potential concerns. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Keep patient‑care equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshoot breakdowns; maintain supplies; perform preventive maintenance; request repairs. Maintain patient‑care supplies ready by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; stocking items. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Qualifications Required Education/License: Registered Nurse (RN), active state nursing license. Preferable Experience: 1–3 years working in a clinical environment. Must perform essential job functions, including visual acuity, communication, and hearing ability.
