Major product lines include a complete line of thermoplastic and metal fabricated enclosures, fiber optic cable connections, management systems, and high-performance below-grade vaults.Department: Manufacturing (Injection Molding / SMC Molding)Job SummaryThe Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment in support of Injection Molding and SMC Molding manufacturing operations. This position ensures products are manufactured according to quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements. The role requires adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and all applicable safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Essential FunctionsSet up, operate, monitor, and control production machinery and equipment used in Injection Molding and SMC Molding processes.Read and interpret work orders, specifications, assembly instructions, and production schedules.Assemble products according to production standards and established guidelines.Inspect and measure finished products to verify compliance with quality requirements.Use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment to complete assigned tasks.Handle, position, move, and prepare materials required for production processes.Monitor production output and ensure production quotas, deadlines, and quality standards are met.Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and safety issues.Perform basic equipment checks and maintain equipment in safe working condition.Maintain housekeeping standards and follow all company safety policies and procedures.Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBasic mechanical aptitude and proficiency using hand and power tools.Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards and workplace safety practices.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production goals.Training RequirementsUnderstand and follow departmental and company safety rules.Read and understand work instructions and assembly procedures.Understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).Learn and follow applicable ISO procedures and standards.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent.Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to work overtime as required.PreferredPrevious manufacturing, production, Injection Molding, or SMC Molding experience.Physical Demands and Working ConditionsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.Frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and manipulating materials and tools.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
