Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Analyst II

Job Details Emp Status: Regular Full time Compensation Range: The base pay scale for this position is $99,000.00 - $150,750.00. This range may be adjusted based on scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget and Fair Market Value evaluation. Responsibilities The Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Analyst II is responsible for configuring, supporting, and maintaining the hospital’s EMR and billing applications to ensure accurate and efficient claims processing, payment posting and revenue cycle operations. Key responsibilities include designing, building, testing and implementing solutions within the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing application and its functionality such as Single Billing Office (SBO), Claims and Remittance, Charge Router, Patient Statements and related modules. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required. Participation in an on‑call rotation and occasional evening or weekend support may be required. Requirements Experience : Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years of IT implementation and/or support experience. Preferred at least one year of application experience; healthcare experience desirable. 3+ years of strong oral, written communication and follow‑up skills, plus very good interpersonal skills. Required desktop tool usage: Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint. Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, problem‑solver, self‑sufficient and able to manage time effectively. Participation in at least one full implementation lifecycle and good SharePoint usage required. Experience with charge router, workqueue configuration, collection agency workflows, statement processing, benefit engine and estimates preferred. Physical Working Conditions Sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about in the department and traverse the hospital campus. Examples: executive, management, administrative and secretarial positions. Environmental Working Conditions Comfortable indoor area located within the facility. Examples: executive, management and secretarial positions. Hazards OSHA Category 3 tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues or other potentially infectious materials. Category 1 tasks are not a condition of employment. Position & Unit Accountabilities Develops/Manages Processes & Systems – Assists with contracts and negotiation of physician managed care contracts, analytics and financial modeling. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff – Coordinates physician enrollment in managed care plans. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff – Ensures compliance of managed care companies with negotiated contracts. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff – Follows up and resolves payment issues with insurance payors. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff – Acts as a liaison between physician offices and insurance payors. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff – Schedules, coordinates and documents all PHO related meetings. Maintains Documentation & Manages Information – Creates and maintains tracking logs for insurance payor issues and accountability for closing out items. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff – Oversees PHO phone line, answers and responds to inquiries and assists with urgent physician office issues. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff – Maintains satisfactory attendance record. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff – Reports for duty punctually. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff – Adjusts to changing situations and work assignments. Education BA/BS required, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration or a related field. Master’s degree in information technology, computer science or healthcare administration preferred. Certifications and Licenses Epic Resolute Hospital Billing/SBO, Epic Resolute Professional Billing, Epic Claims/Remittance. Must have experience with charge router, workqueue configuration, collection agency workflows, statement processing, benefit engine and estimates. Strong interpersonal relationship skills. Demonstrated ability in adherence to process standards around documentation and workflow design. Project management skills including, but not limited to, the ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issue lists and manage project plans. Driven to expand current healthcare IT knowledge and expertise. Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and pragmatic; a great team player who is analytical and solution‑focused. Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to forge and maintain strong professional relationships. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint. Skills Participation in at least one full implementation lifecycle and good SharePoint usage. Build experience with charge router, workqueue configuration, collection agency workflows, statement processing, benefit engine and estimates.
