Financial Analyst

Location: Cincinnati, OH Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST Duration: 6-Month Contract (Possible Extension / Temp-to-Perm) Pay Rate: $34.61 – $36.05/hr. Key Responsibilities Support leadership in developing and refining contracting strategy, analytics frameworks, and contract/project pipeline management. Conduct complex financial and operational analysis to evaluate the performance and value of contracts and strategic initiatives. Provide data-driven recommendations to maximize profitability across payer agreements, vendor contracts, and pharmacy-related programs. Deliver forward-looking analysis and reporting to senior leadership to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning. Analyze payer agreements, manufacturer/vendor proposals, 340B opportunities, discount card programs, and contracting profitability. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities in contract compliance, sourcing policies, and operational execution. Develop and present clear, concise reports and dashboards summarizing findings and recommendations. Execute ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned by leadership. Support training, coaching, and development initiatives for junior team members when applicable. Travel to divisional locations as needed to support teams and operational initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field. 1+ year of database management experience. 1+ year of retail pharmacy and/or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including macros, Power Pivot, and Power Query). Experience with data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools. Strong analytical, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. Experience handling confidential and sensitive data appropriately. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data modeling, or business intelligence. 3+ years of retail pharmacy or PBM experience. Experience with Power BI and Power Automate. Knowledge of pharmacy contracting, third-party payor systems, or healthcare reimbursement models. Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience supporting contract compliance, audits, or financial forecasting.
