Production Planner

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Production Planner. The Production Planning position will be responsible for working with production supervisors, supply chain, manufacturing and quality engineers to ensure schedules and priorities are being met. Discuss and resolve medium to high complexity schedule issues.
Essential Functions:
Releases work orders to production floor based on internal master schedule, part availability and current capacity.
May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area.
Develops and maintains schedules for multiple production lines and multiple programs.
Create and track weekly schedules and updates daily at the Gemba meetings.
Creates a master schedule for all programs.
Prioritize tasks for key stakeholders to ensure material, documents and tooling is available for production.
Release and print production paperwork.
Gathering and analyzing data to identify and create solutions to production issues.
Notify the operations manager when available resources do not support the production plan or the contract date is at risk.

Required Skills & Experience

4 years in a production planning position, planning and scheduling multiple production lines
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
Ability to investigate issues and problem solve


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Material Requirement (MRP) experience- SAP Experience
