Principal Cloud Architect

Dynamic work schedule: This is 3 days on site a month in the same week then the remainder of the month is working from home. (They can fly/drive into the office as well). If your candidate is not open to this please tell them they will not be considered. Fidelity determines the week they are working onsite, not the candidate.

Locations: Westlake or Durham

Must have:

• Strong software experience (cloud, DevOps) will need to have an understanding of working in AWS or other cloud providers in order to replicate this process with both marketing and client experience apps.
• Java, C++, GO, Python (will be assisting in programming/updating legacy applications)
• Micro-services experience (will be utilizing this architectural method to migrate legacy applications and processes into the cloud)

The team: This role will support multiple scrum teams delivering technology products help build out our core platform content capabilities. You will coordinate closely with the squad leaders and other colleagues across the enterprise to stay aligned on business and technology goals ensure the squads are progressing and delivering against them. It will also occasionally represent the voice of the customer, and make sure squad members understand their needs and preferences.

The role: This Architect will play a Technical Solution Architecture role within the Content Management Product Area working with the business leadership and technology to define target architectures, architecture roadmaps, and help deliver the technical products that enable and support our business capabilities. You will be hands on working on the creation of the next generation software components at one of the largest FinTech companies in the world. You will work closely with business sponsors, project managers, engineers and architects crafting, implementing, testing, and deploying end to end technology solutions. As a member of the architecture team you will work with architecture and application teams to help champion innovation, drive standardization, and deliver modern technology patterns across the stack for our customers' use. You will contribute to the product roadmap evolution in conjunction with business unit product goals and provide leadership in computing services, adoption of platforms and consolidation across our team's initiatives.

The expertise you have:

• 6+ years' experience engineering/developing web enabled applications and some combination of the following:
• Strong engineering background and/or a consistent record as a Solutions Architect, architecting, designing, and building new solutions
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud providers
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with Micro-Service Architecture & SOA
• Experience in all aspects of cloud computing (infrastructure, storage, platforms and data)
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, C++, JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of continuous integration/deployment
• Experience with serverless architecture, design, and implementation.
• Heightened awareness, experience or passion for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Experience with agile development, DevOps, Automated Testing and Continuous Delivery
• Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.
• Contribution to the open-source community would be beneficial
