Surgical Technician Opportunity

A state-of-the-art, non-profit, short term acute care facility located 1 hour east of Columbus is looking for a permanent Surgical Technician (multiple shifts available). The Surg Tech will function as a part of the surgical team to provide care in the intraoperative phase of surgical or obstetrical procedures. They will use knowledge of instrumentation and equipment to ensure the best possible outcome for each patient.

DAY and NIGHT shifts available

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and re-sterilizes instruments and scopes, re-sterilizes
• Keeps the equipment coordinator and/or manager informed of problems or suspected problems with the various pieces of equipment in the operating room
• Able and willing to accept an on-call schedule as dictated by staffing levels
• Demonstrates the ability to reduce cost per procedure by not opening supplies that are not needed
• Demonstrates ability to respond to hospital within 30 minutes.
